RacingBetting on horse racing is drastically different for betting on sports. When you bet on sports you get paid on what the odds are at the time of the bet. For instance, if you bet on +140 (2.4) line your wager is locked in at that price. If the line closes at +120 (2.2) you still get paid at the +140 (2.4) price. However this is not the case for horse racing were you get paid what is called the ‘starting price' when the line closes. So you might get paid better or worse odds then when you placed the wager. The consequence of getting the starting price means that you will receive the same odds the matter where you place the bet. So why play online? The answer to that is cash back and bonuses.
